Submission declined on 4 March 2025 by RangersRus (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of events). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

CardCon is a trading card game (TCG) convention that takes place alongside the Spellenspektakel, a major board and card game event in the Netherlands.[1] The event features tournaments for popular trading card games such as Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Disney Lorcana[2], and One Piece. These competitions range from casual play to high-stakes tournaments, attracting both amateur players and experienced competitors.[3]
Activities
[edit]In addition to tournaments, the event includes designated trading areas where attendees can exchange cards with other collectors, as well as vendor booths offering sealed products, accessories, and rare or graded cards. Special exhibits and artist showcases provide opportunities for fans to meet illustrators and creators involved in the trading card game industry.
Demonstration sessions and learn-to-play events introduce new players to various TCGs, while panel discussions and Q&A sessions with industry experts offer insights into game mechanics, strategy, and collecting trends. CardCon also hosts exclusive product launches and previews, allowing attendees to experience upcoming releases before they hit the market.[4]
The next edition of CardCon is scheduled to be held on November 8-9, 2025, at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, Netherlands. The convention brings together players, collectors, and enthusiasts, offering a platform for competitive play and community engagement within the trading card game scene. During the 2024 edition, CardCon and the Spellenspektakel combined welcomed over 30,000 visitors.[5]
