BuildOps was founded in 2018 Alok Chanani and Steve Chew in Los Angeles, California.[2] It officially launched its software in 2020.[3] As of 2025, it has raised $250 million through three funding rounds.[4]
BuildOps is a software management system powered by artificial intelligence.[5] It is used by commercial contractors in the United States and Canada for project management, service, dispatching, and invoicing.[6] It operates under a software-as-a-service model and as of 2025 was used by more than 1,000 commercial contractors.[3]
