Appstack is a mobile marketing analytics platform that specializes in iOS attribution using Apple's SKAdNetwork (SKAN) framework. The platform offers attribution insights without relying on SDKs, providing analytics and reporting tools designed for mobile app marketing teams. It is used primarily by developers, product managers, and growth teams to evaluate user acquisition performance and return on ad spend (ROAS).

History

[edit]

Appstack was founded in 2024 by Lucas Moscon and Tom Darmon following the success of an open-source initiative known as #FreeSKAN. The project, intended to simplify SKAdNetwork implementation, attracted significant attention from mobile developers and generated over 200 waitlist signups within a day of its release.[1]

Later that year, Moscon was accepted into the startup accelerator Entrepreneurs First in Paris, where he partnered with Darmon. The company subsequently relocated to San Francisco and secured its initial round of seed funding in 2025.[2]

Product

[edit]

Appstack provides tools to interpret SKAN postbacks, generate campaign performance dashboards, and support conversion value mapping. Key features include:

  • Dashboard templates for ROAS and cohort tracking
  • AI-assisted data insights
  • Compatibility with SKAN 4.0 without SDK integration
  • Configurable conversion windows and value mapping
  • Privacy-compliant architecture optimized for iOS

The platform is designed to support teams working with ad networks such as Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and Apple Search Ads.

Company Culture

[edit]

According to its internal documentation, Appstack emphasizes transparency, user-centered development, and iterative product design.[3] The company promotes a "user-orbit" philosophy in which features are developed based on direct feedback from real users. It also encourages fast experimentation and public discussion across its internal workflows.
