Apple Devices is a Windows application for managing iOS devices. It was released in February 2024[2] and is part of Apple's split of iTunes into separate apps.[3] The application is distributed through the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 version 22H2 and later and is unique to Windows, because device management functionality is integrated into Finder on macOS.[4]
Similar to the build of iTunes released through the Microsoft Store, Apple Devices utilizes an embedded copy of Apple Application Support,[5] along with its components such as MobileDevice.[6] In contrast to iTunes, which relies on a port of macOS's AppKit to Win32, Apple Devices has been rebuilt using the Windows Runtime and Windows UI Library.[citation needed] It leverages the AMPDevices core frameworks, akin to those employed by Finder.[citation needed]
