Draft:Apateu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It’s a simple yet popular drinking game often played in social gatherings, particularly among university students or groups of friends.

How to Play Apateu:

- Setup: Players sit in a circle with drinks ready. Structure: The game is based on clapping and chanting a rhythm, where participants follow a pattern inspired by the structure of an apartment building.

Rules: The first player starts by saying "1st floor!" while clapping. The next player follows with "2nd floor!" while clapping in rhythm, and this continues with each player announcing the next floor number (3rd floor, 4th floor, etc.). The twist comes at"Apateu!" (Apartment). Instead of continuing to the next numbered floor, the person who reaches a designated floor (for example, the 5th or 10th floor, depending on the rules) must say "Apateu!". If someone messes up the rhythm, skips a floor, or forgets to say "Apateu!" at the right time, they have to drink.

Variation: In some versions, after saying "Apateu!", the game either resets, or players may reverse direction or introduce a new rule like skipping numbers or adding hand gestures.
