Analog Tears is a music project led by Argentinian-born, Seattle-based singer, songwriter and producer Diego Carlomagno. The project blends noir-pop, dark wave, dream pop and shoegaze. Independent outlets have compared the sound to artists associated with post-punk and dream-pop traditions and noted its “late-night” atmosphere and post-punk bass foundations.[1][2]
History
[edit]Analog Tears originated as a studio project in Seattle before expanding to collaborations and live sets.[3] In 2024–2025 the project released singles including “Bleed Love Again” (with Los Angeles–based vocalist Vienna Vox) and “Last Kiss.”[1][4]
Musical style and influences
[edit]Coverage has described Analog Tears’ output as dream-pop/shoegaze-leaning with noir-pop and darkwave textures, highlighting nocturnal atmospheres, post-punk bass and layered guitars.[1][2] Stated influences include artists such as Jonathan Bree, Cocteau Twins, Depeche Mode, Editors and Gustavo Cerati.[5]

[edit]Analog Tears has collaborated with vocalist Vienna Vox on multiple releases, including “Bleed Love Again” and “Last Kiss.”[1][4]

Reception
[edit]Obscure Sound praised “Bleed Love Again” for its “late-night entrancement,” citing a murky post-punk bass and seductive guitar work, and likened the mood to Chromatics and The Cure.[1] Last Day Deaf described the track as “magnetic” dream-pop appealing to fans of shoegaze and noted the Seattle/Los Angeles collaboration.[2]
