Draft:Amin Mahoutforoush
| Submission declined on 1 November 2025 by SnowyRiver28 (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like a résumé than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, that provide secondary analysis of the subject's life in context. In contrast, résumés will tend to list individual accomplishments and rely on self-published sources, which might unduly focus on positive events and fail to properly balance their weight. Please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies by using independent, reliable sources.

Dr. Amin Mahoutforoush (born 10 January 1990) is an Iranian pharmaceutical and biomedical scientist. He is currently affiliated with the Applied Drug Research Center at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, where his research focuses on nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) and targeted drug delivery systems for cancer therapy.[1]
Early life and education
[edit]Mahoutforoush received his B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering (Bioelectric) from Sahand University of Technology in 2013, followed by an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering (Biomaterials) from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2015. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (Biomaterials) from Islamic Azad University, Tehran in 2021 with a GPA of 18.98/20.[2]
Career and research
[edit]Since November 2018, Mahoutforoush has worked as a research associate and pharmaceutical scientist at the Applied Drug Research Center, Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. His studies concentrate on the design, development, and characterization of nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) and liposomal systems for targeted chemotherapy, as well as exploring molecular mechanisms of cancer cell signaling, apoptosis, and autophagy. He has also collaborated internationally, notably with the University of Coimbra in Portugal.[3]
Scientific contributions
[edit]Mahoutforoush's notable contributions include:
- Development of multifunctional NLC platforms for simultaneous active targeting of multiple chemotherapeutic agents.
- Co-delivery of small-molecule anticancer drugs and bioactive natural compounds via lipid-based nanocarriers.
- Application of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and heparin-functionalized systems for controlled and tumor-responsive drug release.
- Advancements in lipid-based and hydrogel carriers for oral delivery and antibacterial applications.
