AMflow is a bicycle brand introduced by DJI, a company primarily known for its drone technology. The brand focuses on electric mountain bikes (eMTBs) and debuted its first model, the AMFLOW PL Carbon, in 2024.[1] This model integrates DJI's proprietary Avinox Drive System, marking DJI's entry into the e-bike market.
The introduction of AMFLOW has been met with interest from the cycling community.[2] Reviewers have highlighted the system's impressive power-to-weight ratio and seamless integration into the bike's design. However, some have noted that the fixed battery design may limit flexibility for certain users.[3]
History
[edit]In 2024, DJI expanded its product portfolio beyond aerial technology by launching the AMFLOW brand. The introduction of the AMFLOW PL Carbon at Eurobike 2024[4] signified DJI's commitment to entering the eMTB segment. The bike was designed to showcase the capabilities of the newly developed Avinox Drive System, aiming to compete with established e-bike motor systems.
Technology
[edit]At the core of AMflow bikes is the DJI Avinox Drive System, a pedal-assist system. This motor features a maximum torque of 120 Nm.[5] The system is designed to be lightweight, weighing 2.52 kg, and is integrated with DJI Avinox's proprietary control algorithms to ensure smooth and efficient power delivery. The brand's emphasis on adaptive performance and lightweight construction has positioned it as a key innovator in the e-bike sector[6].
