AllEvents (stylised as AllEvents.in) is an online event discovery and ticketing platform and operated by AllEvents Informations Private Limited. The service allows users to browse events by city, date or category, and allows organisers to create event listings, sell tickets and run promotional campaigns.[1][2] Founded in 2011 by Amit Panchal and Ruchit Patel and headquartered in Ahmedabad, India, the service curates events from over 40,000 cities worldwide and serves more than 20 million monthly users.[3] Despite the ".in" domain extension, the company clarifies this refers to "All Events in [City]" rather than India, with a primary focus on the North American market.[2]

Third-party software marketplace Capterra and Microsoft clarity[3] describes AllEvents as one of the world's most comprehensive event discovery and ticketing platforms, stating that it serves more than 20 million users in over 40,000 cities and supports hundreds of thousands of organisers each month.[1] A case study by Microsoft Clarity similarly characterises AllEvents as a global platform used by millions of event seekers worldwide.[3]

History

[edit]

AllEvents was founded in 2011 in Ahmedabad, India.[4] In an early interview, Panchal explained that the idea emerged when the founders repeatedly missed local events because there was no single place to discover what was happening around them[5] Initial development was funded from their existing business, Amitech Business Solutions, and the service was launched as a side project before being opened to the public.[5]

By the mid-2010s, AllEvents had expanded beyond its initial local focus. Early coverage by Inc42 profile in 2015 described the platform under the tagline "All Events in City", positioning it as a bridge between event organisers and event-goers and noting that it offered listings across web, iOS and Android reporting more than 22 million events from 20,000 cities worldwide and noting that the company was bootstrapped rather than venture-funded.[4] Later ecosystem and data-platform listings similarly characterise AllEvents (under the legal entity Allevents Informations Private Limited) as an unfunded company founded in 2011 that operates an event discovery and ticketing service for multiple international markets.[6]

AllEvents has remained privately held and is frequently described as a bootstrapped or self-funded company, without external venture capital investment.[4][7][8] Community summaries and talks by the founders have emphasised bootstrapping, profitability and a focus on search and organic discovery rather than fundraising.[4][9]

In 2020, as restrictions on in-person gatherings were introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic, AllEvents added product support for online events. A company blog post notes that an update enabling organisers to list online and virtual events was released shortly before lockdowns, with the aim of allowing creators to continue running classes and workshops remotely.[10]

In 2025 Microsoft published a case study on AllEvents' use of its Clarity analytics product, focusing on how the company used behavioural data to redesign event pages and improve user experience for what it reported as more than 20 million users.[3]

Platform and features

[edit]

AllEvents operates as both a website and a mobile application. Users can search for events by city, date, category and keywords, and browse listings for concerts, festivals, comedy shows, sports, workshops, business events and community activities.[11][12] An overview of event listing sites published in 2024 describes AllEvents as a platform that lists events from categories such as music, sport and workshops and supports event search, personalised suggestions and ticket booking.[12]

A Microsoft Clarity case study notes that the product team uses analytics to refine features such as event banners, map interactions and personalised home-page feeds, reporting improvements in RSVP conversion and user engagement after these changes.[3] The company employs machine learning algorithms for event recommendations and has been recognized as a case study by Microsoft Clarity for its implementation of user behavior analytics to improve platform engagement.[3] AllEvents utilizes structured data markup to enhance event visibility in search engine results.

For event organisers, AllEvents provides tools to create event pages, add descriptions and media, configure ticket types and prices, manage registrations and attendee lists, promote events to a larger audience and QR-code based check-in.[11][13] Software comparison sites list features such as registration management, social promotion and ticketing among the core capabilities of the platform.[14] The company also offers optional paid promotion tools and analytics intended to increase visibility and track the performance of event campaigns.[15]

In addition to the main consumer app, organisers can use an "event manager" mobile tool to monitor ticket sales and registrations, adjust prices and discount codes and perform attendee check-in at the venue.[16] A product description on SourceForge characterises AllEvents as a free event listing platform that helps organisers maximise ticket sales and visibility by reaching millions of event seekers worldwide, with listings distributed to Google Events and partner sites and accompanied by basic analytics on reach and engagement.[17]

Mobile applications

[edit]

AllEvents offers mobile apps for Android and iOS that provide the same discovery and ticketing experience as the website.[18][19] The apps allow users to search for nearby events, browse by category, receive notifications about saved events, store tickets, and check in using paperless entry.[19]

The Android app, listed on Google Play Store, has been downloaded more than 2 million times and maintains a rating of 4.7 out of 5 based on over 12,500 reviews.[19] The iOS app on Apple's App Store holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5.[18] A Microsoft Clarity case study noted that the mobile app had surpassed 2 million downloads as of 2025.[3]

Name and branding

[edit]

According to the company, the name AllEvents was derived from the phrase "All Events in City", reflecting the original idea of providing a single place to see everything happening in a particular city.[2] Early branding and blog material used the expanded form "All Events in City" alongside the allevents.in domain name.[20]

In its public explanation of the name, the company states that the ".in" in AllEvents.in is intended to be read as "in your city", rather than as a restriction to events in a particular country.[2] As the service expanded internationally, the brand has typically been presented as AllEvents or AllEvents.in, with city-level pages such as "Events in New York" or "Events in Toronto" used to emphasise its focus on local discovery in different markets.[21]

AllEvents' consumer marketing materials also use the phrase "Stay Happening" as a recurring slogan, framing the service as a way for users to find offline events and activities to attend.[2]

Events and partnerships

[edit]

AllEvents is used as a ticketing and discovery channel for both small community events and large-scale tours and festivals. Listings on the platform have included international concerts and tours by artists such as playback singer Atif Aslam, Gujarati folk singer Aditya Gadhvi and Indian stand-up comedian Samay Raina, including shows in cities across United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.[22][23][24][25]

A 2025 AllEvents blog series and related event listings promote the "Still Alive" North American tour by Samay Raina, describing AllEvents as the exclusive ticketing partner for the United States and Canada dates.[21] Other large events using the platform have included Navratri festivals in Canada featuring Aditya Gadhvi and multi-city international concerts promoted by third-party organisers.[22]

Comedy shows and live appearances by television personalities such as Kapil Sharma have also been ticketed through AllEvents, alongside regional theatre, literary events and religious gatherings.[26]

Recognition and awards

[edit]

In 2012, All Events in City (the name used by AllEvents in its early years) received the Manthan Award South Asia & Asia Pacific in the e-Travel and Tourism category. The official winners list and award citation describe the project as a platform for curating local events and enabling users to discover "all events in the city".[27] The same year, All Events in City was listed as a finalist in the mBillionth Mobile Awards South Asia in the m-Travel & Tourism category.[28]

In 2023, startup network eChai Ventures named AllEvents its "Consumer Tech Company of the Year" at the eChai Startup Awards held in Ahmedabad, as part of a set of awards recognising companies in categories such as SaaS, legal technology and logistics.[29]

AllEvents has also been used as an example in case studies and product round-ups. A case study published by Microsoft for its Clarity analytics product highlights how AllEvents uses behavioural data to improve event discovery and ticket-purchase flows for more than 20 million users worldwide.[3] Software review sites such as Capterra and G2 list AllEvents among event registration and ticketing tools and report generally positive aggregate user ratings.[30]

In 2025, an AllEvents blog post and related social-media updates stated that the company had received multiple badges in G2's Spring 2025 reports, including "High Performer", "Momentum Leader", "Grid Leader" and "Best Relationship" across several regional grids.[30][21]
