Aitech Systems is a provider of rugged embedded computing solutions designed for defense, aerospace, space, and industrial applications. Headquartered in Chatsworth, California, with engineering and operations centers in Israel and India, Aitech delivers AI-enabled, cybersecure, and radiation-hardened platforms that operate reliably in extreme environments.[1]

The company’s offerings span commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and customized systems engineered to meet stringent military and space-grade standards.[2]

History

[edit]

Aitech was founded in 1983 and is recognized as an early developer of VMEbus-based embedded computers for mission-critical applications.[3] It was the first company to provide space-qualified VMEbus boards, enabling modular computing systems for spacecraft, reducing development time and costs.[4]

The company contributed to VME standards development through the VMEbus International Trade Association (VITA). Over 40 years, Aitech has evolved into a supplier of rugged, secure, and scalable systems for military, aerospace, and space platforms.[5]

Products and solutions

[edit]

Aitech designs embedded computing solutions optimized for harsh environments in space, air, land, and sea. Its portfolio includes:

  • Radiation-hardened systems for satellite and deep-space missions[6]
  • AI-enabled edge processing using HPEC and GPGPU technologies[7]
  • Command and Data Handling (C&DH) systems for space vehicles
  • Mission computers, displays, and power distribution units for defense platforms
  • Launch and fire control systems for weapons and tactical vehicles
  • Modular and cybersecure computing architectures built to meet MIL-STD and SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) requirements[8]
