Abdoulie Tamba (born 11 January 2006) is a Gambian professional footballer who plays as a defender for IFK Norrköping in the Swedish Allsvenskan. He is a youth international for the Gambia at under-20 level.[1][2]
Club career
[edit]Tamba came through the ranks at Fortune FC in the Gambian top flight, captaining the club before moving abroad.[3]
He arrived in Sweden at the end of July 2025 for a trial with IFK Norrköping and impressed in training and Ligacupen Elit matches. On 20 August 2025, Norrköping announced that he had signed from Fortune FC on a contract running until 2029.[3][4]
International career
[edit]Tamba has represented The Gambia at under-20 level and received a call-up to the nation’s squad for African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying.[2][5]
Style of play
[edit]A naturally left-footed central defender, Tamba has been described by IFK’s sporting director as aggressive, strong in the air and comfortable with both feet.[3]
