[edit]

Trubic was a mathematics prodigy, entering New York State University at age 12. His early interest in technology and music developed in parallel, forming the basis for two distinct but complementary careers.

Career

[edit]

Early Technology and Consulting Work

[edit]

In his twenties, Trubic led the U.S. operations of a European multinational. In the early 2000s, he and a small team discovered a flaw in Google's early search algorithm, exploiting it to generate millions in revenue and prompting a core re-engineering of the platform. He was later recognized as a key figure in the New York startup ecosystem and became an early tech investor.

Proper Villains and HudsonWide Partners

[edit]

Trubic co-founded HudsonWide Partners, which was acquired by Leap LLC of Boston. The resulting merger created *Proper Villains®,* a full-service agency that competed directly with global holding companies. He served as Managing Partner and later Chief Operating Officer[2] until his second and final exit in 2019. Under his leadership, the firm managed high-profile accounts across fashion, tech, and media.

Big Red Label and Executive Strategy

[edit]

From 2019, Trubic serves as Managing Director or Big Red Label, a consultancy providing due diligence and digital strategy services to private equity firms and agencies, with offices in the USA and Cyprus. He also mentored companies that went on to receive accolades like the Inc. 5000 list.

Musical Career

[edit]

Trubic has had a concurrent career in music, beginning as a concert cellist before transitioning to bass guitar. He has appeared on recordings or performances with Grammy winners and members of the Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers Band, Zac Brown Band, T.I., and Akon. He remains active in studio and live performance work.[3]

Advisory Work and Associations

[edit]

Trubic has advised top-tier private equity firms (including multinational corporations like Luxottica, Ralph Lauren, Pfizer, and Ben Sherman.[4] He has also brokered brand deals for high-profile entertainment clients and served on advisory boards and with global research firms including:
