Aaron Abramson’s journey from a teenager in Seattle to the Chief Executive Officer of Jews for Jesus is marked by transformative experiences and a deep commitment to faith, service, and reconciliation. Raised in an American Jewish family, Aaron’s formative years were shaped by a strong cultural heritage, but it was his family’s move to Israel during his adolescence that set the stage for a life-altering journey. While in Israel, Aaron attended an Orthodox yeshiva and served in the Israeli military, where he confronted the complex realities of life in the Middle East. His time in the army would leave a lasting impact, particularly when a close friend was captured, tortured, and killed by Hamas, an experience that would ultimately shape his ministry vision.

Aaron’s spiritual journey took a profound turn after his military service, during a period of travel when he had a life-changing encounter with God. This experience sparked a passion in him to share the transformative power of faith with others, leading him to join Jews for Jesus in 2000. His desire to see others experience the same life-altering encounter with God, combined with his firsthand understanding of the complexities of conflict in the Middle East, has been the foundation of his ministry work ever since.

As the first Israeli to lead Jews for Jesus, Aaron’s appointment to this role comes at a pivotal moment in both the organization’s history and in the broader global context. Amid rising antisemitism and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, Aaron’s unique perspective is instrumental in navigating the challenges of faith and identity within Jewish communities. His experiences in Israel not only inform his work but also inspire his radical vision for reconciliation. While still living in Jerusalem, Aaron’s pursuit of peace with his Arab neighbors was heavily influenced by the teachings of Jesus, which led him to foster dialogue and friendship amidst political and cultural tensions.

Before stepping into the role of CEO in June 2024, Aaron served as Jews for Jesus’ Chief Operating Officer for six years, where he oversaw ministry teams across North America and the UK, as well as Church Engagement and Communications Departments. Known for his strategic thinking and big-picture vision, Aaron played a pivotal role in developing innovative approaches to outreach, helping Jews for Jesus reach more Jewish individuals and communities around the world. Under his leadership, the organization’s global teams saw an increased response to the gospel, especially in the face of worldwide crises, while also providing aid and support to hundreds of thousands affected by war, poverty, and disaster.

Aaron’s academic background is rooted in his passion for biblical and intercultural studies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from All Nations Christian College in England, with a focus on biblical and intercultural studies, as well as a Master of Public Administration from New York University. His education, combined with his lived experiences, has equipped him to lead Jews for Jesus with both compassion and strategy.

Aaron met his wife, Victoria, also a Jewish believer, through Jews for Jesus, and together they are raising three children in London. Their family embodies the values of faith, service, and reconciliation that have been central to Aaron’s life and ministry.
