aaPanel is a web hosting control panel developed by aaPanel Network Technology Co., Ltd. It provides a graphical user interface for managing Linux servers and simplifies tasks such as website deployment, database administration, email configuration, and SSL certificate management.
History
[edit]aaPanel was initially released in August 2014 as a lightweight alternative to commercial panels like cPanel and Plesk, particularly aimed at small to medium-sized Linux server environments.
In January 2025, it was listed on the DigitalOcean Marketplace, enabling users to deploy the software on virtual private servers (VPS) through a one-click installation system.[1]
In May 2023, the European hosting provider PQ.Hosting published a technical guide and evaluation of aaPanel, highlighting its automation capabilities and extensibility via plugins.[2]
In 2024, the platform was also added to the Linode Marketplace, offering streamlined installation on Linux-based servers.[3]
