DeepSource is a software company that develops static code analysis tools. It is headquartered in San Francisco, California with offices in San Francisco and Bengaluru.

History

[edit]

DeepSource was founded in 2018 by Sanket Saurav and Jai Pradeesh in Bengaluru, India.[1] It was a member of Y Combinator's Winter 2020 batch.[2]

In June 2020, DeepSource raised $2.6 million in a seed funding found.[3]

In January 2025, DeepSource released its open-source security toolkit called Globstar for scanning code for security vulnerabilities.[4]

Platform

[edit]

DeepSource's platform identifies code quality, security, and maintainability issues during development, and helps with remediation of these issues.[5] It supports programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, and Ruby, and integrates with platforms like GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket.[6][7] The platform provides SAST, SCA, code coverage, code formatting, and is available on GitHub, Atlassian, and AWS marketplaces.[8][9][10]
