The Commodore 128 (shortened to C128) was a Commodore 64 personal computer model with 128 KB memory. Released by Commodore International in 1985, it had an 8-bit MOS Technology 8502 CPU, and a Z80A for CP/M compatibility. Its life span was from 1985 to 1989, it was compatible with the Commodore 64 and was not popular nor sold as well as the Commodore 64.[1] Commodore already was working on the 16-bit system Commodore Amiga, which was more powerful than the Commodore 128, and the C128 was left as a failure.
