[edit]- 31 March – Parliament unanimously passes a constitutional amendment to extend the parliamentary term from 3 to 4 years after the amendment failed to pass via referendum in October 2025.[1]
- 16 April – Lionel Aingimea is sworn in as the first Vice President of Nauru.[2]
- 13 May – The Parliament of Nauru passes a constitutional amendment to change the name of the country to Naoero, which will head to a referendum for approval.[3]
