2020 NBA season may refer to:
- 2019–20 NBA season, featuring a four-month mid-season suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat played in the secluded Orlando bubble due to the pandemic, won by the Lakers, 4–2. Because of the pandemic and subsequent suspension, the NBA playoffs, which typically take place from April to June, were pushed to August through October in 2020, with the NBA Finals occurring in October (outside of Game 1 on September 30), as opposed to the traditional June schedule. Giannis Antetokounmpo won the second of his consecutive regular season MVP awards. About six weeks before the hiatus, Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash during this season, less than four years into his retirement.
- 2020–21 NBA season, featuring the Milwaukee Bucks defeating the Phoenix Suns, 4–2, in the 2021 NBA Finals. All of this season was delayed by a month or two, due to the COVID-19 pandemic causing the sudden four-month suspension of the previous season and the annual 82-game schedule was reduced to 72 games. The season began just before Christmas, as opposed to the typical October start, the All-Star Game was played in March instead of February, and the NBA Finals were played in July, rather than the typical June schedule. Nikola Jokić won the first of his consecutive, and three overall, regular season MVP awards.
