ਰਵਿਦਾਸੀਆ
ਰਵਿਦਾਸੀਆ ਜਾਂ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਪੰਥ[1] ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਪਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਤ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਜੋਂ ਸਤਿਕਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।[2][3][4]
ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ, ਰਵਿਦਾਸੀਆ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਉਪ-ਮਹਾਂਦੀਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਨਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੁਮਾਇੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਲੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਰਵਿਦਾਸੀਆ ਵਜੋਂ ਗਿਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਬਸਤੀਵਾਦੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ 20ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੀ ਸੀ।[3] ਰਵਿਦਾਸੀਆ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਨੇ 1947 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੋਰ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਲੈਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਡਾਇਸਪੋਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲ ਰਵਿਦਾਸੀਆ ਪਰੰਪਰਾ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।[5] ਰਵਿਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਲ ਸੰਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ 2 ਤੋਂ 5 ਮਿਲੀਅਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੈ।[6][7]
ਰਵਿਦਾਸੀਆ ਸਿੱਖ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਗਤ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਖ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹਨ।[8]
