Bruce Springsteen (* 23. September 1949 in Freehold, New Jersey, USA) ist ein US-amerikanischer Rockmusiker. Er ist vor allem in den USA seit Jahrzehnten äußerst populär. Allein in den USA hat er mehr als 60 Millionen Tonträger verkauft und ist damit einer der kommerziell erfolgreichsten Popmusiker überhaupt. Mit seinen Songs, die meist das amerikanische Alltagsleben zum Thema haben, ist er für weite Teile der US-amerikanischen Öffentlichkeit zu einer Identifikationsfigur geworden.
