"Moi... Lolita" was the debut single by French singer Alizée. It was popular in France, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Syria, Ukraine, Greece, Russia, Italy, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom.[1]
The song was instrumental in showcasing Alizée's image as that of a seductive Lolita character, referring to the novel by Vladimir Nabokov. The video for the single, which was the first to be filmed of her, showed Alizée as a village girl visiting a night-club.
The lyrics to the song also make various references to the song writer, Mylène Farmer.[2]
"Moi... Lolita" was also used in the trailer for Ridley Scott's film A Good Year.
