I've reworked it so that it first presents the general case - the 'rules' of alternation which I've extracted from what was already on the page. I've then created an examples section out of what was left over. I think it's better though it's still very stubby. I've done a pretty major rewrite now. It could stand some more prose (at the moment it's little more than an expanded dicdef with some examples), but I think it's enough that I can take off the cleanup tags. —An gr 21:23, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
