Template-protected edit request on 15 July 2020

User:Le Deluge has reported a bug at Template talk:Flagicon: when function "icon" of Module:Flag is invoked, incorrect Category:Flagicon with missing country data templates is used. Correct category should be Category:Flagicons with missing country data templates. This is caused by concatenation of parameter "name" passed to function "_main", which is 'Flagicon' in the function "icon". Here's a fix: Special:Diff/965603747/967883637. There is probably a more conventional way of doing this in Lua. Of course, another solution would be to rename the Category:Flagicons with missing country data templates itself (and change wikitext in {{Flagicon}}). —andrybak (talk) 22:25, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Possible new category name could be Category:Pages using flagicon template with missing country data—most popular naming scheme under Category:Unknown parameters. —andrybak (talk) 22:36, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Side note: function "deco" does not have the same issue, because Template:Flagdeco uses tracking Category:Flagdeco with missing country data templates. —andrybak (talk) 22:39, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As I mentioned over on T:Flagicon, it's wanting other non-existent categories such as Category:Flag with missing country data templates and I've just noticed Category:Flagcountry with missing country data templates. Le Deluge (talk) 22:59, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
