Manifold absolute pressure sensor.....how do you know if it is bad or going bad? Also, will a bad sensor cause the vehicle to stop spontaneously?

MAP or MAF

Normaly you will have vehicles with MAF sensor and after, if you decide you want to cut the cost you could do some tunning and you will put the MAP sensor (for the diesel engine) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.81.67.247 (talk) 20:14, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

no fuel....87 GMC v3500 7.4-454 dually w/dual tanks

ok, here's a dumb question. I should know this, but I'm having a brain blank. I'm not getting fuel to the TBI, and I don't hear any priming from the pumps. the relays are fine, I can hear and feel them click. all of the fuses are good under the dash. ive checked the ignition mod, its good. my next step is the map sensor unless you all tell me diffrnt. if that's good, im going to the pumps. I know the map sensor controls fuel, but again, I cant hear the pumps. both tanks are 1/4 full. Make sure your fuel switch is on a tank and not accidently moved to the middle where it would be on neither tank
