Category:Recipients of aid from Lewis Tappan

Nominator's rationale: Fails WP:NONDEFINING. Clarityfiend (talk) 19:24, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • I created this category. Tappan (with his brother) was the leading philanthropist in the United States between 1820 and 1837. He helped a lot of things which are obscure yet well-regarded today. It's useful to see all his many philanthropic activities together. deisenbe (talk) 19:27, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Comment A list of his major contributions might be more appropriate.★Trekker (talk) 19:33, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Photo sharing

Nominator's rationale: Image sharing is the anchor article. It doesnt appear that there is intended to be a distinction. Rathfelder (talk) 16:33, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Humor websites

Nominator's rationale: Maybe I'm missing the joke, but I dont see a difference. Rathfelder (talk) 16:26, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Maximals (Transformers)

Nominator's rationale: Unnecessary disambiguation. There is no other category called "Maximals" on Wikipedia. JIP | Talk 12:38, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Korea-museum-stub

Nominator's rationale: Template is obsolete and unused, as all Korean museums are either in North or South Korea and as such all the stub articles use either {{SouthKorea-museum-stub}} or {{NorthKorea-museum-stub}} (PS: for those of you querying it, yes, it's a template, but stub templates are dealt with at CFD) Grutness...wha? 10:59, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:English-language podcasts

Nominator's rationale: Superfluous and non-defining. WP:OVERLAPCAT Most podcasts, at present, are in English. Rathfelder (talk) 10:57, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • The only evidence we have at present is the categorisation system, which has 85 English and one Russian and nothing else. English Wikipedia is, unsurprisingly, biased towards English language media and coverage of online material much more so than older stuff. Rathfelder (talk) 16:19, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Regarding the procedural close: the reasons for deletion are different so it is entirely valid to nominate the two siblings separately. Marcocapelle (talk) 15:04, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Podcasts by language

Nominator's rationale: 2 subcats. English language, 250 articles. Russian 1 Rathfelder (talk) 10:56, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Russian-language podcasts

Nominator's rationale: only 1 article Rathfelder (talk) 10:55, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Muslim members of the Parliament of the Netherlands

Nominator's rationale: POV classification, not based on objective criteria, see Talk page for this category. Minorities observer (talk) 07:58, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Made this category in error when was intending to create Category:Inuit community governments in Newfoundland and Labrador. Hwy43 (talk) 05:28, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Valis series

Nominator's rationale: Per the main article, Valis (video game series). The current title is ambiguous, as there is also Valis (novel series). This is not eligible for speedy as the main article was moved recently without prior discussion. -- Black Falcon (talk) 04:19, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Professional wrestling navigational boxes named after people

Nominator's rationale: The contents of this category are not just navboxes named after people, but navboxes about people. Compare to Category:Actor navigational boxes‎, instead of Category:Performing arts navigational boxes named after people. All 12 individuals in this category are professional wrestlers, but some also held other roles (e.g. promoter, etc.), so a more generic title could be appropriate. Category:Non-free images for NFUR review

Nominator's rationale: For consistency with Category:Wikipedia non-free files and Category:Wikipedia non-free files with NFUR stated (renamed at CfD), and because not all pages in this category are images—some are audio or video files. The category is populated by multiple non-free file copyright templates. -- Black Falcon (talk) 01:16, 7 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
