Tizen fedora based?

The link given says nothing about it and I can't find anything on google either... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.250.205.83 (talk) 14:38, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree; this is in error. My best guess is that this crept in through the "Fedora Family Tree" graphic, because it shows Tizen descending from MeeGo (it is a successor but not really a direct descendant) and MeeGo from Moblin, which was Fedora-based. (Really, I think maybe that graphic should go; among other things, I assume that it has RHEL off on an earlier branch altogether, but given the enormity of that interelationship it seems silly to have a family tree graph without RHEL or CentOS, Scientific Linux, etc.)

Multiple version numbers in the infobox?

There is currently a discussion of whether Template:Infobox OS should be used with multiple version numbers - for example, to list both a "software update" and "next major release" beta, or to list betas from more than one release stream. If you believe that multiple {stable, preview} releases should never appear in that infobox, or if you believe that they should appear under some or all circumstances where there's more than one beta of the OS in question available, you might want to comment there. (I have no strong belief either way; I'm OK with the main OS page listing only the "next major release" beta, but listing betas from multiple streams if they exist, but I'd also be OK with other choices.) Updated reference to Linus Torvalds as Fedora user.

The November 2016 issue of Linux Magazine has an article http://www.linux-magazine.com/Issues/2016/192/The-World-According-to-Linus in which Linus Torvalds explains why he uses Fedora (including setting it up for his family). This could augment or replace the earlier references.

Both of these entries redirect to "Fedora (operating system)" but neither is mentioned on the page. This needs to be fixed! Urhixidur (talk) 17:52, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Urhixidur Weird. Shouldn't EPEL be redirected to Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS? The first article does mention it! User:Tetizeraz. Send me a ✉️ ! 19:15, 26 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Relationship to Red Hat Enterprise Linux

One of the defining characteristics of Fedora is that it is the ("upstream") basis for the very well known distro "Red Hat Enterprise Linux", which is core to Red Hat's relationship to the Fedora project. This close connection is mentioned only buried at the end of the article's "Derivatives" section. I would like to add mention of that relationship to the article's introduction. I note that the CentOS article notes the inverse relationship ("downstream") to RHEL in its introduction. DocRuby (talk) 17:43, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
