Notes

  1. ^ a b c d e f Ejective consonants, which do not occur in English, are voiceless consonants that are pronounced with pressure from the throat rather than the lungs.
  2. ^ a b An extension consonant for the Latin version of the Latin alphabet, often represented with the Roman-Arabic numeral three (3) (currently not in Unicode); the Cyrillic letter ze (З/з) has been borrowed in newspapers published in the Georgian SSR to write the missing Latin letter; modern orthographies today also use the Latin digraphs Ts/ts for З/з and Ts’/ts’ for З’/з’.
