Started article

I started this article today, which I know is stubbish. There are some areas I would like to expand about this, most of which I am not (yet) too knowledgeable about, including:

  • Physical specs of the vehicles (i.e., what make, model, year, engine type, etc.)
  • Itineraries? (Is there a list somewhere?)
  • Key staff members
  • Key events at which the buses were used
  • Acceptable photographs (exterior and interior) for the original two buses
  • What happened to the two original buses?

Also - There is a lot more content that could go into this article. Anyone who has anything to add, please feel free to do so.

A few links I want to park here, maybe to use later:

Notability concerns

I see that a Notability tag has been placed on this article. Was this just because of the primary vs. secondary sources, or is it an actual question of notability? The buses and now the other vehicles have been an integral part of the activity of the main political cable network in the U.S. for almost 20 years. I will work on finding some non-primary sources to add to references, but I want to make sure that this is not arbitrarily deleted. Thanks. KConWiki (talk) 11:33, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If all the sources are the C-Span website then notability is not established as primary sources can be written by anyone. The best thing to do is find some news coverage of the program and use that to source things in the article. Barts1a / Talk to me / Help me improve 23:28, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
OK - I have adjusted all the references (and a little bit of the text) so that there is only one C-SPAN ref and seven non-C-SPAN references. If that looks good, would you mind removing the tag? (I would rather not do it myself, to avoid giving the impression that I am trying to bury the concern raised.) Thanks. KConWiki (talk) 01:27, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good! Thanks for promptly addressing the concern and not reacting aggressively like most people do when the {{Notability}} tag goes onto one of their articles. Barts1a / Talk to me / Help me improve 01:59, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Local Content Vehicles update

A few weeks ago, C-SPAN announced that they have added more vehicles to their Local Content Vehicles fleet. I've located several sources covering this and have prepared a short addition to be added to the end of the Local Content Vehicles section. Here is what I suggest:

Suggestion
In 2013, C-SPAN expanded their LCV fleet from three vehicles to six, allowing the network to double the number of cities it visits each month.[1][2]

I work as a consultant for C-SPAN and have prepared this on their behalf. I would like to avoid any direct edits to this article and hope another editor can review this request and add it to the article it it looks appropriate. Cheers, WWB Too (Talk · COI) 17:48, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
