Comment: Converting the mp3 to ogg is no problem, but I believe that you want the mp4 video uploaded, or? I believe that wikipedia/wikimedia has a restriction which prevents such big uploads. (moreover convertings a mp4 file to ogg will even increase the file size!) mabdul 09:22, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: The Youtube video has a size of 125 MB, but we can only upload files, which have a size less than 100 MB. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 09:58, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: As it seems we are now able to upload files up to 500mb, see Commons:Commons:Maximum file size. I will read the possibilities and then starting to convert the file. As this is a rather big file (and the converting/upload needs it's time), I won't finish with this task within a day. I will update this thread for the case that I'm ready to upload or any problem occur. mabdul 10:42, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Oh by the way: I'm using (of course) the original file which has ~1400mb not loosing too much of 'image information' through multiple converting actions. mabdul 10:46, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Didn't know about the existence of chunked uploads. Armbrust, B.Ed. WrestleMania XXVIII The Undertaker 20–0 10:51, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just a head-up: I will convert the video over the night and if I get a good result, I can upload it tomorrow morning... hopefully ... mabdul 21:26, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Mmmh, using 3 different browsers (with always getting different problems), I stopped to upload the video again (after ~8 attempts) with the great error message: "Unknown error: "internal_api_error_UploadChunkFileException".". I will ping avs if I see him online (IRC) next time, because original he said he would do it... mabdul 02:17, 11 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
