Welcome to the GDR task force of the Germany WikiProject!

Scope

This task force seeks to create, improve, maintain, and provide a standard of consistency for articles on all topics relating to the German Democratic Republic as well as create a forum in which interested editors can work together to improve articles.

Participants

If you are interested in becoming a regular contributor to the efforts of this task force, please feel free add yourself to the list below (in alphabetic order), listing your interests and expertise and signing your name with four tildes (~~~~). Also, if you have not already done so, we would encourage you to join our parent project WikiProject Germany.

And finally, if you wish to add the GDR task force userbox to your user page, here is the template: {{Portal:East Germany/GDR taskforce userbox}}

  1. Bahavd Gita (talk) 06:24, 20 May 2011 (UTC) Mainly interested in DEFA's films and actors.[reply]
  2. Sindinero (talk) 14:25, 19 May 2011 (UTC) GDR literature and culture, mostly.[reply]
  3. Кузьма討論 15:03, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging articles

Any article related to this task force should be marked with "GDR=yes" to the {{WikiProject Germany}} project banner at the top of its talk page (see ??? for more details on the exact syntax). This will automatically place it into Category:GDR task force articles.

The resulting code is usually:

{{WikiProject Germany
|class=
|importance=
|GDR=yes
|GDRImp=
}}

where GDRImp can be one of Top, High, Mid, Low.

To-do

Ampelmännchen
  • Tag articles!
  • Recruit more members!
  • Collaborate and join the discussions. If you know things, teach! (If you don't know things, Ask.)
  • Add new articles! There are plenty of East German topics still unaccounted for!
  • Expand articles (or merge if appropriate). All of these these stubs would welcome further care and attention. Other articles needing expansion and improvement:
  • Add things here!
