Motion Computing is a developer of Tablet PCs, located in Austin, Texas. All computers produced by Motion are in the slate tablet form factor. Most configurations include a separate keyboard that can be connected via USB, Bluetooth, or a proprietary dock connector. Motion Computing's focus is on vertical markets[1] such as healthcare and government, though they have released more home oriented systems like their M-series which was also sold through Gateway Inc[2].

Products

Current[when?] products[3] are LE1700, C5, F5, J3400 and their new line of Mobile Cart Workstations.

The C5 is targeted for use in the healthcare industry,[4], while the similar F5 is targeted for the field service, construction, inspector/appraisor or any other market with highly mobile users that spend the majority of their time computing while walking or standing. Options available are a bar-code reader, an RFID reader, and a digital camera. The C5 and F5 do not have a PCMICIA slot or any other ports as they are considered sealed units, while the LE1700 and J3400 do have these ports. Newer tablets including the LE1700, F5, C5, and J3400 also have the option of integrated WWAN with the LE1700, C5, F5 using AT&T and then the J3400 using Verizon.
