Simple username changes

Shortcuts

This page hosts simple requests for a username change across the Wikimedia network. Requests are processed by stewards and global renamers.

Instructions

Read Wikipedia:Changing username carefully. You must be aware of and understand all the implications of changing your username. Specifically:
- Your name will be changed to the new one in the page history of every page you've edited, and in all log entries.
- Your user pages, account preferences, and edits will be moved to the new name. Please do not create a new account or attempt to move them yourself.
- Links left by your previous signatures will still point to the old userpage; however, a redirect will be created pointing to your new userpage.
- Understand that using your real name as your username may put you at risk of harassment.
Read the username policy and ensure your new name does not violate it. Usernames must not:
- be inappropriate, profane, or offensive
- contain libelous, contentious, or non-public information
- be misleading by impersonating other users or implying that you have authority
- be the name of a company, organization, group; or imply that the account is shared with multiple people
- contain emoji, emoticons, or non-language symbols
- contain the # < > [ ] | { } / @ : = characters, among other restrictions
Check that your new username is not already in use by searching for it on Special:CentralAuth. If the name is registered, even on another Wikimedia project, it is taken.
If the target name hasn't made any edits to any Wikimedia project, you may request usurpation at meta:Steward requests/Username changes.
Log in with your current username. Requests will not be approved if the requester is not logged in.
Place your request here.
- Add your desired username after NEW=.
- Add a reason for the change after REASON=. Requests without a valid reason will not be approved.
- Do not change anything else.
Select Publish changes.
Check back on this page periodically to answer any inquiries regarding your request. Consider watching the page so you can monitor updates. Requests may be closed if there are unresolved queries.

Yes, this username already exists because you recently granted my username change from Konabear to Blackburn2000, But you only reattributed half of my postings on my history page. I would like my original posting from Dec. 16 2006 to be reattributed to my new name, Blackburn2000, if possible. I've had problems with other users identifying me and sending me emails. I tried to contact one of your administrators to do this, but never heard back. I would appreciate the reattribution change of my original Dec.13 posting if you can do it. Thank You. - Clerk note:I think what you really want to do is move your talk page to the article space if that is what you want to you could push the button that reads move or ask for help to make that move. Also, without references there is a chance that this page might get deleted or nominated for deletion. Clerk note: No, because then the edits you made as 蘇州宇文宙武 until now will be lost. You can have that one renamed to something else, then rename Apollo Augustus Koo to 蘇州宇文宙武 but I'd say it's easier if you simply used 蘇州宇文宙武 from now on and have a link on your userpage informing people that you have previously used "Apollo Augustus Koo" as a username. As for the question, after the rename is completed (check back here), go to Special:MergeAccount where you can set up a unified login that will allow you to use this name on all Wikimedia projects. Seems like I've been inadvertently using two accounts with the same username, only diferring in capitalization, a problem that originated in Wikipedia letting me register two different accounts to the same email address. I have been actively using both accounts in two different PCs and would like to move over to using only 'UKER', but I obviously don't want to lose track of my contributions.
