"Edutorial" is a term that combines the concepts of “Education” and “Editorial.” It refers to editorial content specifically designed to educate readers by providing insights, guidance, and knowledge that support their professional development.

The term "Edutorial" was created by the accreditation body The CPD Group to define and recognise educational content within publications. The content found in an Edutorial will go beyond general reporting or commentary to serve a clear learning purpose. The CPD Group provide an accreditation service for such publications.

For example, a trade journal article outlining new regulatory standards, a magazine feature on effective leadership techniques, or a curated guide to technical skills can all be considered Edutorials. If the content contributes meaningfully to the reader’s professional growth, it may be considered as an Edutorial.

Unlike general opinion pieces or news stories, Edutorials are purpose-driven and structured to function as genuine learning resources.
