Page mover

Hi! I am requesting to grant me for a trial or perm on this page move, I've participated on RM and Technical Requests (in Technical Request, I am just supporting or opposing since I cannot perform a move to a existing articles or redirects). I've also a remaining want to move like July Revolution (Bangladesh). ROY is WAR Talk! 15:26, 23 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Whether or not this is approved, there are issues with recent participation. At Talk:Jack Carter (stage actor), the close read "majority votes move"; likewise the relisting at Talk:List of Filipinos venerated in the Catholic Church says "tied vote. Need more consensus". However, move discussions are neither votes nor determined by majority. I am not very confident in the close at Talk:Students–People's uprising (Bangladesh)#Requested move 19 January 2025 either. The summary of the opposing editors' comments does not scan and despite the use of "!vote" it still appears the decision was made based upon numbers. The actual contents of the final two comments in that discussion, both of which suggested a WP:NDESC title, appear to have been ignored. Dekimasuよ! 04:13, 24 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
While I can vouch that in the past few weeks RIW has added good comments over at WP:RMTR, they have not submitted any requests themselves. And as far as their RMNAC activities, there is some concern, as Dekimasu mentioned above, about RMNAC processes, I echo concerns over the proper application of closing discussions / !votes / consensus - either in their understanding/application, or at least in the way it is expressed. The "Student-People" uprisings as mentioned above gives the appearance of supervote when it comes to addressing the oppose concerns. While the backlog at RMTR has been a bit larger recently, I would like to see some RMTR submitted from their closures of full RM discussions. It might just be a bit too soon.
