Banner blindness
I think the banner with the "go here for Visual Editor" info is extremely easy to miss, especially since it's right under the help banner. It might be helpful if the text itself mentioned Visual Editor and referred readers to WP:INTREFVE. Don't have the time to do this right now, hoping someone else can pick this up or ping me later about it. -- asilvering (talk) 22:18, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- I adjusted the formatting of the notice to make it a lot bolder. I wish it were possible for us to detect which editor a user is using an automatically direct them to the appropriate page. The issue is mitigated a little bit, though, in that the source editor is the only one that really needs a how-to explainer page — the VisualEditor's referencing tool should be self-explanatory to most competent editors. {{u|Sdkb}} talk 23:02, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Sdkb Thanks, that's perfect. Alas, regarding self-explanatory, I got here trying to follow the confusion of an editor posting at the Teahouse... -- asilvering (talk) 00:27, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

Change County "LondonDerry" to County "Derry"-This is incorrect and also politically contentious especially on a page about a GAA club. 137.191.238.49 (talk) 08:53, 9 September 2024 (UTC)

Referencing books?
Hi, not sure if it's appropriate to ask here... I just finished reading a book, and am editing it's Wiki article. The book is not well-known, so there's little-to-none online sources. I know the information is true because I literally have a physical copy of it, how could I source the information?? Or is "I read the book" enough? Lolapossum (talk) 21:23, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- What is the article? And the book? No, saying you know it's true because you've read the book is not good enough. You must supply a source that should be a WP:RSS. If the source is not good enough, others might dispute it. First however is that you give more information here. Roger 8 Roger (talk) 21:34, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- The book is "Ransom" by Lois Duncan. I didn't add much but a few character names and changed the page number. I added a Google Books link to external sources though Lolapossum (talk) 21:54, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
