Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at K. K. Abid Hussain Thangal. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Lone-078 (talk) 20:07, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message. To clarify, Abid Hussain Bukhari carries both the Thangal surname (common in Malayalam communities) and the Bukhari nisba, which reflects his heritage. My edit aimed to accurately represent both aspects of his identity. DelphiLore (talk) 08:20, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
Ganga Bishan Agarwal moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Ganga Bishan Agarwal. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 21:10, 4 October 2024 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Sayyid ummar bafaqi.jpeg

Thanks for uploading File:Sayyid ummar bafaqi.jpeg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:51, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

Overwriting files
Hi DelphiLore. Please don't overwrite existing files like you did with respect to File:Bafaki Tangal.jpg and File:K. Uppi Saheb 1.jpg (File:K. Uppi Saheb.jpg). Overwriting files can be OK to make minor changes (straightening, cropping, brightness corrections, etc.), but it's not OK when it's being done replace one image with a completely different one. Overwriting of such a type is essentially the de-facto deletion of the existing image without following Wikipedia policy; moreover, it also can create licensing and sourcing problems causing files to be unnecessary flag for {{Wrong license}}
issues. For reference, File:K. Uppi Saheb 1.jpg needed to be split and have a WP:HISTMERGE done by a Wikipedia administrator, and the same is also going to be needed for the Bafaki Tangal file. It's OK to make a mistake like this once or twice, particularly when you're not too familiar with uploading images; however, continuing to make this mistake will likely lead to an administrator stepping in to issue a more formal warning or even possibly take stronger action. There's no need for such a thing to happen as long as you don't overwrite any more existing files.
If you want to upload a completely new image to replace an already existing image, please upload the new file as a completely separate file. If you're not sure how to do this, please take a look at Wikipedia:Uploading images for some general information or ask for help at the Wikipedia:Help desk or the Wikipedia:Teahouse. -- 02:04, 8 October 2024 (UTC) Marchjuly (talk) 02:04, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
Your image uploads
Did you use AI or some other type of software to create some of the images you've recently uploaded? There could be encyclopedic and copyright related issues that need to be sorted out if you did. If, for example, your images are based on old photos created by others, then that could be considered a type of copyright infringement as explained in c:COM:BASEDONPHOTO or WP:Derivative work if the old photo is still eligible for copyright protection. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:46, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
Stop Uploading Files
Hi DelphiLore. Please stop uploading AI generated images, especially over existing images. These are not only blatantly unencyclopedic, but also hideous. Knock it off. -Fastily 05:48, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
Hi Fastily, I understand your concern, and I appreciate the feedback. My intention was to improve the picture quality, not to degrade the content. I’ll make sure to be more careful moving forward and will refrain from replacing existing images with AI-generated ones. If there's a better way to enhance the visuals, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.DelphiLore (talk) 06:39, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
