Why is one of the variants called ASCII? It does not seem to have any code points in common with traditional ASCII. --Abdull 17:20, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It refers to the particular glyphs that they used, not the actual binary representation of the characters. --Wws (talk) 23:25, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
