Scripts++ Newsletter – Issue 27
Hello everyone, and welcome to the 27th issue of the Wikipedia Scripts++ Newsletter, covering all our favorite new and updated user scripts since {{{1}}}. OPTIONAL FLAVOR TEXT ~~~~
Got anything good? Tell us about your new, improved, old, or messed-up script here!
- , by , is this month's featured script. LONGER DESCRIPTION
- DESCRIPTION
- Many of our favorite scripts such as User:Fred Gandt/userResourceManager, User:Guarapiranga/search-shortcuts and User:Bradv/Scripts/Superlinks haven't been updated for Vector 2022. You could be the one to change that!
- User:Elominius/gadget/media timer works, but its UI looks alien. Someone could improve it...
- To a lesser extent, the same goes for User:PrimeHunter/Search sort.js. I wish someone would integrate the sorts into the sort menu instead of adding 11 portlet links.
- We want...
- ...a mark-as-read button for Watchlyst Greybar Unsin
- ...a tool to automatically fix CAT:BROKENREFs, preferably a fork/addition to User:TheJJJunk/ARA
- ...a fix/fork of User:DannyS712/SectionRemover.js to make it work
- PENDING REQUEST 1
- ...and many more, all available at Wikipedia:User scripts/Requests
- SCRIPT 1
- AUTHOR WITH MULTIPLE SCRIPTS
- AUTHOR'S SCRIPT 1
SOMETHING NICE TO SAY
![]() | This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Wikipedia:Scripts++/Shell}} ). |
This is a boilerplate template for new issues of the Scripts++, a community-written newsletter about userscripts edited by DannyS712.
Usage
New issues should be started by substituting this template onto the page where the issue is to be written. It takes a single positional parameter: a date in YYYY-MM-DD format. When the issue is ready, increment the number at {{Scripts++/current}}.
{{subst:Wikipedia:Scripts++/Shell|date in YYYY-MM-DD format}}
Example
The 27th issue to cover May 2025 would be created by placing {{subst:Wikipedia:Scripts++/Shell|2025-05-24}}
on Wikipedia:Scripts++/Next and saving the page (convenience preload link). The newly placed wikitext can then be edited to fill in content specific to that issue. Then just before publication it is moved to Wikipedia:Scripts++/Issue 27.
