Started this page because it does not exist on wiki. Check any data sheet fopr a modern micro controller and you will see this term.

needs work

I think this article needs to be expanded a bit, maybe some more definition to someone unfamiliar with the topic. How does this differ from a DMA controller? Peter Flass (talk) 18:09, 19 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
