MPPE/MPPC and home routers

It would be nice if someone wrote an overview of how well do SOHO routers implement MPPE and MPPC. It looks like most hardware ignore encryption and compression, which results in sending user's traffic “in plain text”, while the user keeps thinking he/she is using a safe VPN tunnel between his/her router and ISP equipment. 213.234.235.82 (talk) 13:28, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
