I disagree that OAT comes BEFORE UAT, in my experience of the SDLC it always happens AFTER UAT, and is the final stage of testing performed. In addition, testing of failovers etc is performed as part of the NFT (Non-Functional-Test) phase. OAT is concerned with all elements of operational readiness (OLA's, Operational Procedures, backup schedules log recycling / housekeeping etc). Steve Bushell
