03:18:58, 21 October 2022 review of submission by Bannana2018

Bannana2018 (talk) 03:18, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bannana2018: We are not interested in a rerun of the Seigenthaler incident. Every biographical claim that could potentially be challenged for any reason what-so-ever MUST be cited to an in-depth, non-routine, independent-of-the-subject news/scholarly source written by identifiable authors and subject to rigourous fact-checking that explicitly confirms the claim or (if no such sources can be found) removed wholesale. This is a hard requirement when writing content about living or recently-departed people on Wikipedia and is NOT NEGOTIABLE. This draft is also blatantly promotional, and I am going to tag it for summary deletion as such. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 03:30, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

09:52:39, 21 October 2022 review of draft by Inga Bajelidze

Hello,

I have disclosed that I am employee of the company founded by David Zilpimiani - the man I am writing the article about. therefore I disclosed that I am payed for it. Is it enough? or is there anything I should keep in my mind before submitting the article?

Inga Bajelidze (talk) 09:52, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Inga Bajelidze: from the COI / paid editing perspective, you're probably okay. However, I have to tell you this draft will not be accepted, as it currently stands. Firstly, it is entirely unreferenced (yes, there are a couple of sources listed at the end, but they are not cited, and don't seem to support anything in the draft). As I already explained, pretty much everything needs to be clearly supported by reliable published sources, and in the case of an article on a living person, this must be done by way of inline citations. See WP:REFB, WP:ILC and WP:BLP for advice.
Secondly, this sort of chronological bullet point approach doesn't read like an encyclopaedia article, it reads like a CV. You can certainly use bulleted lists, but they shouldn't be the only content there is. Please consider writing at least some of that in prose form. Also, we don't need to see everything someone has done or produced, Wikipedia is not a comprehensive catalogue of someone entire output; please focus only on the most notable aspects of his career. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:38, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for advices! Inga Bajelidze (talk) 10:57, 1 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

11:12:00, 21 October 2022 review of submission by Jepwashere

Hi MaxnaCarta,

I've added a new section about the controversies the subject was involved in. Please let me know what you think.

Jepwashere (talk) 11:12, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article has now been improved and company appears notable. Adding a dedicated controversies section seems WP:UNDUE and seems to be just to satisfy reviewers, so info has been restructured. Best sources [1], [2] and [3]. @MaxnaCarta: TechnoTalk (talk) 15:17, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No. This article has been deleted four times. It’s a corporate vanity piece written by an editor with a disclosed conflict of interest. The article has been bombed with references. Some notability but insufficiently in-depth to pass NCORP. I will never approve this article and my own decision is final. However, if any other AFC editors oppose my thinking they’re welcome to undo my rejection and approve. I will likely nominate the article for deletion and it’s likely to be deleted for a fifth. MaxnaCarta (talk) 19:07, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jepwashere The company "pivoted"? Ugh. David10244 (talk) 07:47, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Bonadea That's funny. I think there are some outtakes online, which are hilarious. Now I'll think of that scene every time I see a startup "pivot" David10244 (talk) 04:45, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

14:44:36, 21 October 2022 review of submission by Sidneylii

need to know if it follows all wikipedia guidelines, so that it will not be deleted Sidneylii (talk) 14:44, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Sidneylii: whether or not it will get deleted isn't really what the AfC process is here to determine; we're mostly interested in whether it can be accepted for publication. And that's what you find out when you submit the draft for a review.
Having said which, I don't see anything in there which would make this person notable per WP:GNG or WP:ANYBIO or any other notability standard that readily comes to mind. Therefore, if I were to review this, as it's currently written, I would most likely decline it. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:56, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

15:13:20, 21 October 2022 review of submission by Sianxtdc

Sianxtdc (talk) 15:13, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stefan Bostandjiev is a Bulgarian racing driver born in 2004 in London, United Kingdom.

He began his career in karting in 2019 with Project One Racing, alongside his academic endeavors. He joined Overdrive Racing, the first Bulgarian racing team, in December 2020.

In 2021 Stefan Bostandjiev entered his first professional racing season alongside teammate Pavel Lefterov in the ADAC GT4 Germany. The duo finished in 2nd place in the Junior class and 6th place оverall of ADAC GT4 Germany 2021 (without attending Round 3 due to getting COVID-19).

Stefan Bostandjiev has remained in the ADAC GT4 Germany with Overdrive Racing for 2022.

Sianxtdc You don't ask a question, but the draft was rejected, meaning that it will not be considered further. It is completely unsourced and does not show how he meets our definition of a notable person. Also see WP:NMOTORSPORT for guidance. 331dot (talk) 15:19, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

20:41:34, 21 October 2022 review of submission by Ppxdv

Please help me figure out how to make my article better so that it can get on your site. I want to write about a company that is working on a large number of patents that were developed by the founder of the company Friedrich Wilhelm Pleuger. I have information about the history of the company that may be interesting and useful to someone.

Ppxdv (talk) 20:41, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ppxdv, please clarify your relationship with the subject. If you are being paid by the company, even if payment is for non-wikpedia work, you must declare per the terms of services and as outlined in WP:PAID. If you have a relationship but are not paid, see WP:COI.

After that see this guide, which can help with understanding notability, verifiability and reliable sources. As it stands, the article is extremely detailed with none of that information actually found in the sources referenced. Slywriter (talk) 21:04, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 11:58:03, 22 October 2022 for assistance on AfC submission by Anthropology Daily

11:58:03, 22 October 2022 review of submission by Anthropology Daily

I am requesting assistance in the verification of my article. I believe that the Wikipedia editor who looked over my draft article was not fully correct in his grading and insights. Firstly, this is not an autobiography; this is an article I am writing about someone who I deem is worthy of recognition as she has played a huge role in climate activism all over Nigeria. Secondly, I agree that there is not an extensive use of references for my subject, but sadly, that is the case for most Nigerian Citizens. There is usually not a lot of their work posted online. This does not deem them unworthy of praise. Forcing these subjects to fit to the western standards of research is unfair and unruly.

I hope that someone else can review my draft and if there are any other concerns other than the references, I would love to hear them so I can get the article published.

Anthropology Daily (talk) 11:58, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Anthropology Daily: we don't create articles based on someone being "worth of recognition" or "worthy of praise", etc.; we create them based on what independent, reliable sources have said about a person. If you cannot find such sources, then you cannot have an article, no matter how "worthy" the person may in your opinion be. And this has nothing to do with "western standards", but with the policies and guidelines of the English-language Wikipedia.
You will get another review of your draft, once you resubmit it. You should, however, first address the reasons why it was declined, because otherwise it will only be declined again. This means providing reliable sources to support the draft contents, as well as sources that satisfy the WP:GNG or other variant of notability. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:15, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I would add that sources do not need to be online, printed works in a library are fine, as long as the public can access them. 331dot (talk) 14:03, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I need help with the referencing, I submitted it for approval but declined it because of the reference. Yemsquare (talk) 12:06, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Yemsquare: that's because it is mostly referenced with Wikipedia, which cannot be used as a source on Wikipedia, and YouTube, which is user-generated and as such not considered reliable. You need to find sources that meet the reliability criteria, and can establish notability per WP:GNG. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:18, 22 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

SkyShowtime is one of the biggest streaming services in Europe. In 22 european countries, there will not be availabe the Paramount+, Showtime neither Peacock services, but SkyShowtime, a joint venture between Comcast and Paramount Global with TV shows and films from Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, SHOWTIME®, Sky Studios and Peacock, and also original content. In many countries it's as important as Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and HBO Max. So, it's really important.

03:40:08, 23 October 2022 review of submission by Downinit9

On previous decline the reviewing editor said "Probable notability yet editor keeps attempting to submit article that reads promotionally without modifying. Recommend flat out rejection on next attempt not written neutrally." I went ahead removed anything that was promotional and yet article was declined again. Also, want to let you know the first 2 declines were due to company not having enough coverage and I was advised here in help forum to change the page to be about the products not about the company, since there are plenty of coverage about the products, but much less about the company. So I went ahead and switched up the page to be about the products and resubmitted. There are plenty of product coverage and indepth reviews. Just check the references already provided.

Also per WP:PRODUCT: "Note that a specific product or service may be notable on its own, without the company providing it being notable in its own right."
If it still sounds promotional, please be more specific so I can revise it.

06:19:02, 23 October 2022 review of draft by Mulairi

Hello! i was creating a article about a cyber security specialist in Bulgaria i think he meets the wikipedia guidelines but i could not maybe present it like that and my article was moved to draftspace! if anyone could help regarding this. Mulairisuggest/consult 06:19, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Mulairi: I can't tell you exactly why it was moved to drafts, but looking at the referencing I'm guessing it might be because apparently lack of notability. For an 'ethical hacker', the only way (that I know of) to demonstrate notability is via the WP:GNG route, which requires significant coverage in multiple independent and reliable secondary sources. This means, among other things, that anything written by the person themselves does not count. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:56, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
the citiations provided were actually official and by looking into them it seems that it perfectly meets the wiki guidelines i am open for suggestions if you have them Mulairisuggest/consult 09:26, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Mulairi: I've no idea what "citiations provided were actually official" means.
Considering that none — as in, not one — of the sources meets the WP:GNG standard, on what basis are you asserting this "perfectly meets the wiki guidelines"? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:01, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

15:27:09, 23 October 2022 review of draft by TransGobbledygook

I first submitted the page for review during the summer, it got declined in August (2022); the reviewer back then said that the sources are reliable and independent, but weren't that much in-depth. Since then, I've added a couple of sources and polished the draft. I appreciate the help of my peers here to guide me, especially regarding the notability: I am not in a rush, and I'll keep working on the draft, but I need help.

Request on 17:49:58, 23 October 2022 for assistance on AfC submission by Nostalgia Zone

Hi, I’m confused by how notable it is because this page should have existed a while and besides it’s a bit of a copy of the List of tenants in 5 World Trade Center, so I do not understand the reason that it had to be rejected.

Hope we can sort this out, Nostalgia Zone

Nostalgia Zone (talk) 17:49, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nostalgia Zone Please read other stuff exists. Looking at the other tenants lists, I'm not sure any of them meet the notability criteria in order to merit standalone articles. 331dot (talk) 17:59, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I can certainly tell your reasoning. I have a idea to possibly fix this, how about there’s a single page dedicated to all the tenants of the original World Trade Center. Nostalgia Zone (talk) 18:06, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

23:41:22, 23 October 2022 review of draft by Grimm au

First time article creator here. I am compiling an article that currently has very little documented information at all in the public domain. It regards the history to Rossin bicycles, and while there is a lot of information in the community of owners next to nothing is documented and little is verifiable. It's going to take some time to gather. I believe there is only one person alive who has details of the Rossin company. All of the others are deceased. Wikipedia presents the opportunity to draw the information out, so that we might approach for validation. Some will be difficult to verify other than by the recording of various models, examination and documentation of each and this is going to take some time before there is sufficient information to submit a compliant draft.

Can you advise if this is a suitable use if Wikipedia, to permit a global accumulation of information in the draft document so that research might proceed.

Grimm au (talk) 23:41, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Grimm au: sources don't have to be online, and they don't have to be in English, but they do have to be published and publicly available for verification. If you cannot cite such sources, then it will not be possible to create an article. Wikipedia summarises what other reliable sources have said; it is by definition never the first source of information. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:24, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi DoubleGrazing and many thanks for your reply.
Herein the dilemma, there are no sources. If there were, the project would be unnecessary. It is starting to sound as if this project is not suitable for Wikipedia unfortunately. Grimm au (talk) 14:18, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Grimm au: I'm afraid Wikipedia is not the right place for this project. Might one of these websites be an alternative? --bonadea contributions talk 11:16, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

06:00:29, 24 October 2022 review of draft by Walticular

I do not understand why the submission is being rejected. Dr. Giuliano is a well-known elder in the anti-aging community, and, as evidenced by references provided, he is a much-published author in several subjects, and continues that history by making important contributions in geroscience. For example, his "Younging" approach stands out for its unique study and advancement of emerging techniques that stimulate the "cholinergic anti-inflamatory pathway", which can significantly reverse the chronic inflammation associated with age-related diseases. I hope to provide more information about him, but figured it best to start with a bite-sized entry, and get that right before proceeding. Walticular (talk) 06:00, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Walticular: it wasn't rejected, it was declined. And the reason for that was that there is no indication of any notability, and the sources cited are useless. If the draft survives the pending speedy deletion, you're welcome to improve it. In which case, your primary objective should be to cite sources that demonstrate notability per WP:GNG. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:41, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Though I am frustrated and confused about the rules, I appreciate your efforts. I will be joining in to a "Teahouse" Q&A/training group run by Liz. Please don't completely delete the draft, but rather just return it to 'draft' status, so I can salvage whatever is good, and not have to start over from scratch, once I learn the ropes a little better. Walticular (talk) 18:26, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Asked and answered at Teahouse. Walticular directed to ask the Admin who did the Speedy deletion (for cause (G11=Promotional)) for the draft content back, so he can try again. Reason for the SD included no useful references. David notMD (talk) 04:00, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

10:58:01, 24 October 2022 review of submission by The Sleeping Lord

My piece has been declined 3 times now - I’m finding it really hard to know why. My father who died 20yrs ago is about to have performances of his pieces to mark his 90th in March 2023, Ty Cerdd have posted about David Harries on their web, I thought Wiki would be a good place to have current info about David Harries too. But I keep getting knocked back, there isn’t a lot out there and that is why I’m trying to get info out there, but how can I when everything about my father is written in books and not on line?? Please assist me in best way of getting my page on wiki

Thank you Deiniol

The Sleeping Lord (talk) 10:58, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@The Sleeping Lord: Wikipedia articles are not written based on what someone knows (or thinks) to be true, but on what reliable published sources have said about the subject. Therefore you have to forget what you know about your father, and only summarise — without adding any spin — what you can find in published sources.
Note that sources don't have to be online, and they don't have to be in English. They do have to be published, though, so that anyone can verify them if needed.
Finally, you have an obvious conflict of interest (COI); therefore, I have posted a message on your talk page about how to address this matter. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:28, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@The Sleeping Lord Wikipedia is not for getting info out there; it is for summarizing info that is already out there.
Note that books are perfectly good references, if they talk about your father. David10244 (talk) 05:21, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Matt Bullseye (talk) 22:58, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! The article that I wrote was rejected and noted that it sounded too much like an advertisement. Since the large majority of this information is coming from independent 3rd party published sources (that are cited in article), could someone please tell me how this article needs to be edited or simplified so that it can actually be approved?

Thanks, Matt

Matt Bullseye First, if you are associated with this company, that must be declared, please read WP:COI and WP:PAID.
The problem is not the sources themselves, but their content. They are almost exclusively announcements of routine business activities, which does not establish notability. What is being looked for are independent reliable sources with significant coverage of the company, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable company. "Significant coverage " goes beyond the mere reporting of what the company does and goes into detail about its significance or influence as the source sees it, not as the company sees it. 331dot (talk) 23:40, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

06:54:02, 25 October 2022 review of submission by Obobson

Obobson created an article on the current Earl of Effingham and the page was moved to draftspace by SunDawn. I think that the submission should be accepted and the page moved to mainspace, because the Earl is presumed to be notable under WP:POLITICIAN as a member of the House of Lords, which is a national legislative body. In addition, there are articles on all other current members of the House of Lords in the mainspace. Editor FIN (talk) 06:54, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Editor FIN: how do we know this was draftified for lack of notability? Looks to me like the issue is lack of referencing. Eg. the personal details like DOB need to be supported by a reliable published source. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:15, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

14:01:58, 25 October 2022 review of draft by Sarahfaderspeaks

Hello, I am new to Wikipedia and trying to publish an article about the brand Boredwalk and their Grievance Journal. Can you please provide me specific feedback so that I can get this article up on the site? What needs to be changed?

Sarahfaderspeaks (talk) 14:01, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Sarahfaderspeaks: you need to demonstrate that this company is notable by meeting the WP:GNG standard (comfortably, as the bar is higher for companies than most other subjects). This requires significant coverage in multiple independent and reliable secondary sources. Your draft currently cites the company's own website, an interview with the founders, and a commercial operation (reseller?), none of which are independent. Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:12, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, can you please review my revised submission? Sarahfaderspeaks (talk) 14:20, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You have submitted it for a review and it is pending. As noted, this could take some time. We don't have the people to do pre-review reviews. 331dot (talk) 14:33, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Did I re-submit correctly? Also, do you notify the writer if it has been accepted? Sarahfaderspeaks (talk) 14:40, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If an article is accepted, do you notify the writer? Sarahfaderspeaks (talk) 14:38, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Sarahfaderspeaks: yes, the system will notify the submitter of the draft. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:41, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
(ec) Yes, you will be told of the result, but you should still check in occasionally. If you have follow up comments in the near term, please edit this existing section, instead of creating additional sections. 331dot (talk) 14:42, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much! I'm sorry, I'm really confused by this interface and still learning the ropes. I'm going to do my own research, but any advice about getting a successful article up would be much appreciated. Additionally, do I have to wait until this article is published to start writing another? It seems as if I can't write another one in the sandbox. Did I get that right? Sarahfaderspeaks (talk) 14:47, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Sarahfaderspeaks: you can create multiple drafts in either the draftspace (preferred for AfC drafts) or your own userspace. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:02, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 14:51:44, 25 October 2022 for assistance on AfC submission by Aftershockkkk

Hi there,

I wanted to start contributing to wiki efforts and start creating pages that do not exist or editing existing ones. I am not exactly sure why my first page was not accepted and it says that isn't in-depth when there are pages regarding similar topics with simply 2 sentences on the page. The page have been structured as per Wikipedia guidances and references have been provided. I am not exactly sure what else should be done, as there's not much more data to be included on that specific page and I prefer not to write things that might not be true or not 100% confirmed.

Please do let me know how this draft could be improved, as I do have a few more similar topics almost ready to go.

Best Regards.

Aftershockkkk (talk) 14:51, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Aftershockkkk: firstly, do not compare your draft to other articles (see OTHERSTUFFEXISTS), because you will always find one that has even weaker referencing than yours. Instead, you need to make sure your draft complies with the relevant guidelines which are required for inclusion in the encyclopaedia.
In this case, the main issue is that of notability. Per WP:GNG, we need to see significant coverage in multiple independent and reliable secondary sources (newspapers, magazines, TV or radio programmes, etc.). Your draft cites no such source. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:34, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

15:22:11, 25 October 2022 review of submission by Oscarfelix.may

I am confused about the state of the 'Steuart Padwick' page. I have submitted a number of changes over the years, each time trying to address the reason for rejection. Then in the middle of last year got a rejection saying 'not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia'. Since that time the breadth and importance of the work Steuart Padwick gets involved in has increased hugely, and I have therefore added that. I have also tried to tighten down on the words. What I don't know now is what the outcome of those changes have been? Have they been seen?

Oscarfelix.may (talk) 15:22, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Oscarfelix.may: almost certainly no reviewer has looked at the draft since it was rejected, given that it is no longer in the pool of pending drafts. If you wish to make a case for the subject having since then become notable (and on that point, note that this depends on the quality of the sources, not on the 'importance' etc. of the work the person is involved in), this is something you need to take up directly with the reviewer who rejected the draft. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:29, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

16:32:09, 25 October 2022 review of submission by Kevin Creekman

I am requesting a re-review of the Kevin Creekman article as I have taken your advice and made updates to showcase Kevin's weight loss journey and struggles with going from a morbidly obese teenager to a completely transformed social media creator and musician. His story has inspired many people to take the steps necessary to change their health and lives to become a better version of themselves. Here is the rewrite and I am willing to update, change or recreate any portion of it. I would also like to add pictures of his transformation and if him as a musician.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Kevin Creekman (born July 17, 1988), also known by his social media name "The Creekman", is a Swiss-born, German-raised social media sensation, model, actor, musician and former tattoo artist and social worker now living in Los Angeles, California. He rose to prominence through sharing his weight loss transformation from a morbidly obese teen to a tattooed social media personality, garnering him close to 4 million followers across all social media platforms. Named the “Sexiest Tattooed Man on the Planet" by Inked Magazine, he is currently the bassist and founding member of the band Drxg The Kids.

Early Life Kevin was born in Lucerne, Switzerland and moved to Germany at the age of 11 after his father died in a motorcycle accident. By the time of his father’s death, Kevin was already suffering from morbid obesity. At the age of 18 he started his weight loss journey. In 2013 Kevin received his BA degree in social work from the University of Applied Science in Cologne, Germany. In the following years, he worked as a probation officer, child protective services caseworker and in the public integration centers in Cologne, Germany. In 2015 he created a Facebook account, “The Creekman” to advertise himself as a musician which was the launch of his social media recognition. Kevin then began to catch the attention of various media outlets based on his transformation which helped to launch him further into modeling. He then moved to Los Angeles, California in 2018, where he continues his modeling, acting and music career.

Weight Loss Journey Kevin is best known for his one-of-a-kind weight loss and body transformation story that has inspired millions of people. His popularity continues to grow through social media as he shares his mindset of, “your biggest weakness is your biggest strength,” the very mindset that fueled his reinvention. Kevin had been overweight since he was a child, with stretch marks appearing as early as the age of ten. As he aged, his weight increased. He eventually stopped weighing himself due to how large he had become. He was frequently bullied and tormented by his classmates over his appearance and shut himself off from all social experiences outside of school and played video games and ate junk food. He was an outsider. He finally hit his breaking point when he was 18 and weighed over 335 pounds (150kg). He found a friend who shared his desire to reduce weight. They supported each other, stayed motivated and pushed each other to achieve their mutual ambition. The fear of always being alone motivated him to lose over 176 pounds (80kg), over 50% of his body weight, in one year through cutting out sweets, eating 1500 calories a day, cardio exercise and a low carb diet. After finally reaching his goal weight, another problem arose. The loss of so much weight caused excess skin to hang in his chest and abdomen area. Although he had achieved his weight goal, he still did not feel comfortable in his own body. He made the decision to have the excess skin removed and opted for several surgeries with the first being an Abdominoplasty in 2014. The first surgery included cuts from his chest area down to the pubic area and around both sides and left him with scars that were quite noticeable and drew unwanted attention. He was self-conscious about these scars to the point where he didn’t take his shirt off to swim, even around his close friends and family. His second surgery occurred two years later to tighten the skin on his back and left even more scars. He was determined to start his new life and came up with a solution that would hide his scars and changes his life – tattoos. Kevin was tattooed before his surgery, however, in the following years after his surgery Kevin covered his scars with a full body tattoo to complete his transformation and hide his scars. He has spent approximately 250 hours under the tattoo gun over the years and has stated that, “My tattoos were the last puzzle piece to build strength, confidence and freedom in my skin.” Followers can see Kevin’s story and pictures of his tattoos on all his social media accounts.

Body Image Despite Kevin’s success in managing his weight for 16 years he still struggles with his body image daily. There are times when he still sees and feels like the kid playing video games and eating junk food. He has been open about self-perception in interviews and has even gone so far as to mention Body Dysmorphia when discussing his views on his body post transformation. Kevin uses his social media platforms to inform the public on how taking a measured, healthy approach to weight loss will foster a more positive mindset.

Career Kevin started his career as a model and a social media creator in 2015 and has expanded his social media reach from Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to his growing following on TikTok. He quickly became one of the most relevant and talked about tattoo models with millions of followers across all social media platforms and got the attention of several online resources like Inked Magazine, Men’s Health, LADbible as well as Daily Mail. Major brands like Golds Gym and ConAir used Kevin as the face and spokesperson for their brand. In 2018, Kevin joined as a bassist for singer songwriter Gil Ofarim. In 2021, he collaborated with singer Tim Lambesis (As I Lay Dying) on his project Born Through Fire as well as joined as bass player and permanent member for Tommy Vext’s (ex-lead singer of Bad Wolves) new band The Lone Wolf. Kevin has also acted as the leading male role in music videos for Trisha Paytas, Bad Wolves and Courtney Stodden. He helped to form a new band in 2022, Drxg The Kids and

@Kevin Creekman: We don't accept content which verges on the hagiographical; I will be tagging it for speedy deletion as blatant and irreparable advertizing/promotion shortly. This is without getting into the fact this page is utterly unsourced. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 19:16, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
First, thank you for responding so quickly. My goal is to get the article published, not deleted. I may have removed my sources when re-publishing and will absolutely work with someone from the community to add / update / cite more sources if necessary. I follow Kevin Creekman on social media and my goal is to continue to get Kevin's story out to continue to inspire the morbidly obese to take that first step toward transformation. I will recheck my sources and make sure they are acceptable and properly cited.
Next, if there are resources here on Wikipedia, I can work with to take the "saintly" expressions out of the content while improving the context, I will spend as much time with them as necessary. Again, the goal is to get the article published.
Thank you again. Kevin Creekman (talk) 12:56, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Kevin Creekman If you are not Mr. Creekman, you cannot use his name as your username. You will need to change it immediately- please make a request at Special:GlobalRenameRequest or WP:CHUS as soon as you can. 331dot (talk) 13:06, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[M]y goal is to continue to get Kevin's story out to continue to inspire the morbidly obese to take that first step is very explicitly not something we do. We are an encyclopaedia, not a motivational website. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 18:21, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The page was declined again and i'm not totally sure why, so i'm reaching out to try and figure this out :) I ama ware of the independent sources claim and i went in and added more but it was still declined. I think what i'd really like to get an answer on is how this wikipedia page is any different to the page of A-List co-creator Nina Metivier? Nina Metivier . They have very similar sources too. Why is she allowed one, but Dan, who is a long time british children's TV writer isn't? I'm happy to make any amends needed but I think the sources are right- especially given the comparison with Nina Metivier's (Another writer and collaborator with Dan) wikipedia. That being said I trust Wikimedia know what they're doing and I thank you for any help on getting this published! <3

Masonsb Beware in citing other articles as a reason for yours to exist; it could be that these other articles are also inappropriate. Please see other stuff exists. As this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, it is possible for inappropriate articles to get by us. We can only address what we know about. If you want to use other articles as an example or model, use those classified as good articles, which have been thorougly vetted by the community. You are welcome to help us out by identifying other inappropriate articles you have seen for possible action.
What you need are not more sources, but better quality sources- sources that provide significant coverage of the subject beyond merely telling us what they have done. 331dot (talk) 19:27, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Masonsb: Refer to User:Jéské Couriano/Decode:
The BAFTA awards are literally the only sources here that can be cited - and that is a massive issue since you're writing about a still-living person. Hi, I just wanted to ask how can we and what to edit to keep this Article here. Everything is written here is correct and I know this is e company in this country. This must not have aby global interest but in this small country everyone know it.

Gru088 (talk) 10:22, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Gru088 First, the Terms of Use require you to make a formal paid editing disclosure. I will place information about this on your user talk page. You should also read conflict of interest.
You have a common misunderstanding about Wikipedia. This is not a place for people and businesses to tell the world about themselves. It is not a directory where mere existence warrants inclusion. This is an encyclopedia with criteria for inclusion, called notability. For businesses, that is written at WP:ORG. An article about a company must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it meets that definition of a notable company. Your company doesn't have to have a global presence to merit an article, but it must receive significant coverage that goes beyond merely documenting its activities. Your draft was rejected, and will not be considered further. I would suggest that you abandon attempting to edit about your company, and allow an independent editor to, on their own, take note of coverage of your company and organically decide to write about it. That's the best indicator of notability. Please also read about an article is not necessarily a good thing. 331dot (talk) 10:37, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

12:53:41, 26 October 2022 review of draft by Itsglt

Hello! I wanted to get some input as my edit was denied due to reading like an advertisement. I found and quoted outside references of news articles and information about service dogs, referenced other wiki pages, and didn't use information from the website. I am also an outside source from this organization. I wanted to know what additional sources I should be using as I followed the guidelines or how I can improve this. I saw other nonprofit organizations on here and thought this would be a nice addition as I know some people who's lives were changed by service dogs.

Itsglt (talk) 12:53, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Itsglt: you need to remove all peacocky expressions like "dedicated", "profound", etc., not to mention "unleashing the incredible power of service dogs"; these have no place in an encyclopaedia article.
You also need to improve your referencing, as two sources, each cited only once, isn't enough to properly support the article contents or to establish notability. Every material statement should be backed up by a reliable published source, clearly cited so that others can verify the information. Hello! Thank you for such a fast response regarding your decision on my Draft:QuipuSwap! But could you get me the reason why my draft was rejected as well as the points that need to be changed if I still would like to publish it?

Mykola Bieliavskyi (talk) 14:05, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mykola Bieliavskyi Your draft was declined, not rejected. These words have specific meanings- "declined" means resubmisson is possible, "rejected" means that it is not. Your draft tells of the existence of QuipuSwap and what it does. This is not what we are looking for. Any article about it must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company. "Significant coverage" goes beyond the mere reporting of the activities of the company or documenting its existence, and goes into detail about the significance or influence of the company, as the source sees it, not as the company sees it. Press releases, staff interviews, announcements of routine business activities, brief mentions, and the like do not establish notability. Please read Your First Article. What are your three best sources that you can summarize?
It looks like you attempted to declare a conflict of interest on the draft itself, this should be done on the draft talk page, as well as separately on your user page. Please see WP:COI for more information on how to make those disclosures. If you are employed by QuipuSwap or have any paid relationship with them, the Terms of Use require you to make the stricter paid editing disclosure.
Note that there are special rules when editing about cryptocurrencies, due to it being a contentious topic area with a history of disruption. You have been notified on these on your user talk page, please review them. 331dot (talk) 14:25, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I got it, thank you! When everything is correct, I'll edit it and send it for approval. Mykola Bieliavskyi (talk) 14:32, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DOHrennie (talk) 16:32, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@DOHrennie: my advice would be to just stick to the default styling and layout features, rather than manually trying to insert a bit of space here, change the image size there, etc. Wikipedia has many skins, and in any case different devices and screen configurations etc., display the content differently, and you presumably want the article to render well for everyone. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:43, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of good, solid bands, writers, actors, and journalists can go through their entire career as professionals without ever achieved what Wikipedia defines as notability. Hello, I created the article Kelly Tshibaka that is now in mainspace, but I did not know about the draft until later. Please take a look at the article in mainspace, and take whatever action is necessary or appropriate with regard to the draft (e.g. deletion, et cetera). It appears that I was able to find numerous reliable sources about the BLP subject that had previously been overlooked. Thanks. Anythingyouwant (talk) 06:31, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There is no need to do anything about the draft, drafts are deleted after six months of inactivity. Shaik Afrose Your draft was deleted as blatant advertising, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not interested in what an article subject says about itself, only in what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about it.

Sorry @Shaik Afrose, I don't quite understand what you're asking, but just to say that the draft has been deleted as promotional.
Also, it seems like you may be talking about something known as original research, which is wholly unacceptable on Wikipedia. Everything you write about a subject must be traceable to reliable, published sources, and verifiable as such. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:49, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

11:55:30, 27 October 2022 review of draft by Firstnighton

Hi, I am trying to create this page for a band called Restricted Code that appears to be the only one without a Wikipedia page, of a small number of bands signed to and releasing records on one of the most important independent record labels in Scotland. The label is currently the subject of a feature length documentary that was screened on BBC ('Big Gold Dream'), a compilation CD and a newly-released book covering this period in independent Scottish music. The band is featured heavily in the book, hence my attempt to create a Wiki entry for them.

I have based the entry on the page for 'Boots for Dancing', who were label mates and exact contemporaries of this band, citing very similar sources, including BBC, Discogs and Bandcamp among others, but my article has been rejected as not having reliable and independent sources, which I can't understand as I tried to use similar sources to an existing entry.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Firstnighton (talk) 11:55, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Firstnighton: RateYourMusic is a deprecated source, and Discogs is considered generally unreliable, so that's half your references out, straight off the bat.
As for notability, I don't see anything there that would meet WP:BAND notability, so we're left with the general WP:GNG notability as the only option, and the sources cited aren't sufficient to satisfy that.
Factors such as the band is/was 'label mates' or contemporaries with other bands which may or may not be notable aren't relevant here, as notability is not inherited by association, nor is them being the only ones of their cohort without a Wikipedia article.

Thanks, that's useful. Wouldn't the sessions they recorded for John Peel and Richard Skinner on BBC National Radio satisfy the WP:Band condition "Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or television network."? Recordings of both exist online and the BBC web site lists them in its archives. Firstnighton (talk) 12:21, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Firstnighton: TBH, I don't know if being featured on the Peel Sessions is enough to satisfy #12 of BAND. It was certainly a notable programme series in its day, but on the other hand it was expressly geared towards introducing artists/acts that were, by definition, non-notable at the time. Probably best to wait for someone to provide a second opinion.
The Peel, together with the new book, could get us close to GNG notability, although it would be better if another solid source could be found to strengthen the case. Also, we need to know how significantly the book covers the subject, as a mere passing mention wouldn't be enough here.
In short, I don't think it's a lost cause by any means, but I reckon it's just not quite there yet, either. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:20, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers for that. The book has extensive content specifically about Restricted Code - just checking in the index of the book itself and there are 19 pages for Restricted Code including full page photos and extensive quotes from the members throughout those pages. They also appear on the cover, and each of the members of the band interviewed is listed as 'Dramatis Personae' in the book's introduction. I hope someone else can take a look at this and give it the thumbs up. Firstnighton (talk) 13:27, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Firstnighton: okay, sounds like the book is definitely a solid source. Is there no way of finding one more somewhere?
Meanwhile, I've asked for comments at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Rock_music#Peel_Sessions, let's see if anyone there has a view. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:48, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Great - many thanks for your work on this. One other possible source I have found is [4]https://www.cherryred.co.uk/product/big-gold-dreams-a-story-of-scottish-independent-music-1977-1989-5cd-boxset/ - a set of CDs released 2019 celebrating the Scottish Music scene on the highly regarded Cherry Red Records. It comes with another book, which has photos and a biog of all artists featured. This band has a track on the CD, and a page in the book. I have it and could scan it, but not sure if there's an existing online resource featuring that particular page. Firstnighton (talk) 14:06, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

12:11:38, 27 October 2022 review of submission by Yemsquare

I need advice on what to do with this article, have been trying to submit it for review but it just declined the article, The article is based on the biography of Mike Afolarin, an actor in the Nigeria film industry, that has acted in some movies such as Kasala, Soole, and he has also won Africa International Film Festival Award, 2018 in Viewer's Choice Award Category for a Kasala movie, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yemsquare (talkcontribs) 12:25, 27 October 2022 (UTC) so I need advice on what to do. Yemsquare (talk) 12:11, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Yemsquare: my advice is to drop this and move on to other topics, as the draft has been rejected and won't be considered anymore. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:14, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, but i need to work on this article, so what do i need to do, have work on the references now Yemsquare (talk) 12:42, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yemsquare Why do you "need" to work on it? Rejection means improvements are not possible. 331dot (talk) 12:49, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
So i need to delete it and start another topic Yemsquare (talk) 12:56, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yemsquare You didn't answer my question, but you don't need to do anything to the draft, it will be deleted after six months of no edits. 331dot (talk) 12:59, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I need to edit the draft, by working on the correction which I have asked @Curbon7 the reason why it was rejected Yemsquare (talk) 13:03, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Yemsquare you're missing the point: decline means you need to continue working on the draft to rectify the reasons why it was declined, whereas rejection, which is what we have here, is the end of the road for that draft. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:22, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thanks for that clarification, my point now is that can i rewrite the draft by maintaining the title name of the rejected topic Yemsquare (talk) 13:25, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yemsquare If you want to create drafts on other topics, use WP:AFC, you don't need to go to the other draft again. 331dot (talk) 16:25, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I appreciate your contribution Yemsquare (talk) 16:39, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Teamazaad: you don't ask a question, but your draft has been rejected and speedily deleted as promotional. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:35, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I can see you've decided to recreate this draft. Just beware, having been once deleted for being promotional, there are extra eyes on the new draft from the outset, so you need to keep it clean as a whistle. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:27, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

17:39:20, 27 October 2022 review of submission by Jdjdkkdk

Is there someone to help me create an article on Wikipedia for the founder and CEO of the company Zain Cash because I don't know how to create any article on Wikipedia OR Draft:Ahmed Abdulhakim

Jdjdkkdk (talk) 17:39, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jdjdkkdk You will be just fine. Please read HELP:YFA and take it from there 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 17:50, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Jdjdkkdk: The company article is unreferenced, and is at AfD and is on track to be deleted. That will eliminate any chance that Mr. Abdulhakim would pass the notability bar. A Google search doesn't turn up much besides this. I'm instead going to vote to merge the bare bones minimum and redirect it to Central Bank of Iraq. Interesting that the company web site says it's located in Jordan, despite its connection to Iraq. Maybe something about Sharia law restricting the operation of money apps in Iraq? I want to get this draft published this is my first time being a wikipedia editor Lightning0 (talk) 19:06, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lightning0 (talk) 19:10, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting to get my draft page published and to learn how to publish wikipedia pages in general

Lightning0 If you are referring to Draft:Sloan the Otaku, it is blank. You have content in your sandbox, but it is only sourced to social media. A Wikipedia article must summarize what independent reliable sources say about a topic. Please read Your First Article. 331dot (talk) 19:28, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

So do I need to reference a article about Sloan by a credible source ?Lightning0 (talk) 19:36, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Lightning0 As I said, the draft must summarize what independent reliable sources say on their own about the subject. It shouldn't be sourced to social media. Please read Your First Article, and using the new user tutorial will help you. If you have further questions, please edit this existing section, instead of creating additional sections.331dot (talk) 20:04, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

20:59:19, 27 October 2022 review of draft by 207.32.169.152

I am a total computer-illiterate, old-man Luddite, and I don't understand exactly how I am to cite reference publications. I need to footnote several of the facts in the referenced article, referring to one book that was published in 1977, and to two current Wikipedia articles. Please tell me, in very simple language, and maybe even as step-by-step instructions, how to mark a footnote in the article's text, and then how to "manufacture" the footnote in the References section at the end of the article. Please also tell me the proper format for citing Wikipedia articles in the References section. 207.32.169.152 (talk) 20:59, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Referencing for beginners, which provides instructions. 331dot (talk) 21:01, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And the proper format for citing Wikipedia articles is not to do so at all. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v a little blue Bori 22:43, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
