Can I add a photo?

I own a kit of Snap Circuits. Can I take a photo of my kit and upload it to the Commons? Will this violate any copyrights? My photo could look like the photo on Adafruit's website: [1]. Piguy101 (talk) 22:08, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

An image like the one presented here would likely not violate the manufacturer's copyright because the mere look of those components probably does not meet the threshold of originality and thus isn't copyrightable. Huon (talk) 23:09, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
