Preet Chandi is a British-born Sikh army officer who became the first woman of colour to complete a solo expedition to reach the South Pole on 3 January 2022.

Army career

Chandi, who holds the rank of captain, currently serves as a Clinical Training Officer in the British Army with 3 Medical Regiment. She was commissioned into the Army Reserves in 2012 and joined the Regular Army in 2016.
