Swift Current is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It had a population of 207 according to the 2016 Canadian census.
It is located on Mouse Islet to the north east of the Burin Peninsula between Grand Le Pierre and Goobies, 5km west of the Black River. The Burin Peninsula Highway (Route 210) passes through Swift Current.
Government
Swift Current is a local service district (LSD)[1] that is governed by a committee responsible for the provision of certain services to the community.[2] The chair of the LSD committee is Ward Butt (A).[1]
