Merge / Expansion / WP:Summary

I'm trying to create an umbrella article for this topic, which should provide a more comprehensive outline of the entire topic, along with summaries (or possibly complete mergers) of several articles, including AI accelerator, physical neural network, neuromorphic computing. The idea is allow the reader to follow links from Artificial intelligence § Specialized languages and hardware to this article, and from there have a complete list of all the most important work in this area, in summary style, linking to every article we have.

I am not a subject matter expert on this topic, my only interest is editorial. I could really use some help with this. Let me know what you think is going to work. ---- CharlesGillingham (talk) 18:49, 12 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose merger seems like a very bad idea. Topics are in specific articles for specific hardware. This article isn't specific to anything, and AI runs on non-specialized hardware as well as specialized hardware, so why lose focus? Why not just write a summary of each specialized hardware, and then link to the specific article? Further there are so much more hardware articles than the three you suggested. Further, the banner has already been deleted from the neuromorphic article by an objector. -- 65.92.246.43 (talk) 16:25, 20 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said "merge".
I'm proposing expanding this article from a stub with a couple of random examples into a comprehensive overview of the subject in WP:Summary form. It could serve as an umbrella article in to guide readers to the sub-articles. The summary article artificial intelligence doesn't have to room to do this. However, I don't feel I have the expertise to organize this or select the most important topics. I was wondering if any one else has any interest. If not, fine. ---- CharlesGillingham (talk) 18:56, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
