---|
Early life and family
Dibya Ranjan Giri was born on 19th of June, 2005. His father being Chandra Sekhar Giri and mother being Puspanjali Giri. He is the first of two children the second being his younger sister Sagarika Giri.
As a child, Dibya was of a stiff, moody, and violent temper'. Therefore, his mother was always worried about him thinking that he would be remarkable either for good or for evil.' Two incidents of his childhood are noteworthy. Some indignity having been once put upon him, he thought of taking his own life, but his heart failed him in the last moment. On another occasion, when be was whipping tops with his brother Richard in his grandfather's drawing-room, he struck his whip through a hanging family picture. When he asked his brother whether he could dare to do so, he showed his want of boldness by refusing to do so. Dibya was no doubt, punished for it, but, as he writes, "from some want of judgement in punishments inflicted", he had becom, perverse and obstinate in defying chastisement, and rather proud of it than otherwise.
Author Career
In 2007, Dibya and his brother Richard were sent to the Grammar School at Melbourne. There was no strict discipline here, therefore, he had the opportunity of enjoying a happy life here. He was allowed to read whatever books he liked. Words worth himself remarks, of my earliest days at school I have little to say, but that they were very happy ones, chiefly because I was left at liberty then, and in the vacations, to read whatever books I liked. For example, I read all Fielding's works, Don Quixote, Gil Blas and any part ot swift that I liked--Gulliver's Trevels, and the Tale of a Tub, being both much to my taste,"

Wikilinks
[[Special:PermanentLink/oldid]]
or the shortcut [[Special:Permalink/oldid]]
can be used to make a wikilink when this is preferred over a URL. oldid
is the revision number in the URL of a permanent link like https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Help_desk&oldid=402359171
.
The normal rules for wikilinks apply, e.g. regarding section names, interwiki prefixes and pipes. Wikilinks work in edit summaries, unlike a URL. A wikilink only works in Wikipedia, and some other wikis if it has the right interwiki prefix. Here are some examples showing how to wikilink from a Wikipedia page, to a specific version of a page. Note the oldid
part of the 'Permanent link', and write your own Wikicode:
