Program Explorer
Program Explorer – svého času nejrozsáhlejší program vědeckých družic a sond USA, realizovaný v období 1958 - 1981 . Řada z nich má další název, jsou součástí i jiných programů, např.Program Lunar Explorer či Program RAE. Explorer 1 byl vůbec první vypuštěnou družicí USA.
Rozsah programu
Program zahrnoval výzkumy atmosféry, geodézie, radioastronomie, rentgenoastronomie, snímkování Země, měření mikrometeoritů, korpuskulární a mnohá další. Na orbitu Země, případně i Měsíce bylo v rámci tohoto programu vysláno 58 družic.
