This page was a forum where users could request, and global renamers (including Stewards) familiar with local usurpation guidelines, could consider and carry out, the "usurpation" of usernames primarily held locally. This consisted of renaming an existing account in order to vacate the username and allow another user to take it.

This venue is now closed, and any new usurpation requests should be made at meta:Steward requests/Username changes (see meta:Help:Unified login). If you want your account renamed to a name that is still available, please use Special:GlobalRenameRequest or Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple.
