1 additional monitor needed for administrator elections
[edit]Hello friends. WP:AELECT3 is looking for one additional administrator to serve as a monitor. If you are willing to do it, please add your name at Wikipedia talk:Administrator elections#Post in this section to volunteer to be a monitor for AELECT3 in December (need 2). I am posting on this talk page since (in my opinion) being a monitor of an RFA is very similar to being a monitor for administrator elections. The main differences are that for AELECT, there's multiple monitors and multiple pages. Thanks! –Novem Linguae (talk) 18:15, 30 October 2025 (UTC)
AELECT Header
[edit]Should we include {{Administrator elections/Latest/Header}} as part of WP:RfA somewhere? I've asked a similar question at WT:AELECT regarding whether we should include {{Rfx report}} and/or {{Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Recent}}, where it was suggested to include the AELECT header here. fanfanboy (blocktalk) 13:23, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think that's necessary, it's a fairly large header and wouldn't fit anywhere but the top of the page, which seems inappropriate. Toadspike [Talk] 13:32, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
Staff apply
[edit]hello Wikimedia foundation I wanna apply for Wikipedia admin Jaredryandloneria (talk) 14:18, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hello User:Jaredryandloneria. Thanks for your enthusiasm. Becoming an admin requires a lot of experience on Wikipedia, and very good understanding of all our policies and guidelines. Normally people need at least 8,000 edits before they gain that experience, and sometimes much more. It's not a staff position either, we don't get paid. And finally: the Wikipedia foundation has nothing to do with admins. They are chosen by the community, not by the foundation that runs the servers. —Femke 🐦 (talk) 15:30, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
